) What is the TED organization about?
TED is a website that you can look a people getting interviewed and see new things that are being created and new things that have been discovered.

2) What is the purpose of their website and how does the functionality of their site support that?
The purpose of the website is too inform people what is new and see things happening in our world.

3) As Engineers and Problem Solvers, which topic areas (the choices from the "Show talks related to:" section on the sidebar) are of most interest to us? Justify your answer.
The section that a Engineer woud look at is technology, design, science, adn global issues because in these sections things are being designed and new things are being created like solar powered airplanes.

4) Based on your previous answer, what are 3 talks (videos) on the site that appear like they would be of most interest to you as an Engineer/Problem Solver? Justify your choices.
Three videos that seemed interesting were solar powered plane because a new thing is being designedd and can be advanced later in the future.

The video I claim is Betrand Piccard's solar powered adventure becuase a new plane is being designed to save enrgy.

6) How could you get involved in the field/technology/issue you chose to hear about? What experience/skills/training/education would you need to learn to get involved with this field?
I could get involveved by saving as much energy as I can by using more solar powered things  like lights.

1. What is the purpose or primary function of the object?
The purpose of my object is to make drawinngs or writings on paper. A pencil is used best on paper and can make wirting or drawings.

2. Make an educated guess as to how this product operates. Use simple machines’ terminology to explain the object’s sequential operation.
This product works by moving your hand back and forth and if you want lead to come out you must hit the top of it where the eraser is and the lead comes out the bottom. Inside I think there is somethign that pushes the lead down farther and farther every time you hit the top.

3. Identify the system inputs, intended product function, and outputs. Use power point to create a "black box" graphic like the toothbrush example discussed in class. Save the slide as a .jpg image and post it to answer this question.

4. What mechanical components are visible?
There are only a few mechanical components you can see like an eraser and the lead that comes from the bottom,

5. What is it about this device’s function that you cannot identify, because the mechanical components are hidden from plain view?

You can not identify how the lead goes through the penicl. Also, you do not know what the clicking noise comes from.
